Adaptive Zoom Optical Imaging Laboratory
Our laboratory mainly studies adaptive zoom imaging devices and systems. Traditional mechanical zoom is usually composed of multiple solid lenses with fixed focal lengths, and the zoom is achieved by adjusting the relative position between the lenses using mechanical devices such as motors and gears. Due to the presence of multiple solid lenses, as well as motors and mechanical mechanisms, which must move along precise motion trajectories, there are problems such as complex structure, large volume, slow zoom speed, and high cost.
